This recording was prepared principally using the recent critical edition from Ricordi. This presents all the numbers in the original keys, which are by most reckoning unreasonably high for Elvino's arias and the act 1 duet between him and Amina. The critical edition also presents transposed versions of these numbers, and these differ in a few minor ways from the older Ricordi vocal score which is still in use. Accordingly, the ZIP file of this recording includes transposed versions of those numbers following the critical score and, where it is different, the older score too. Pricing is as for a straight run of the opera.
